Do you want to work close to production and help develop both new and existing processes? ITW Sweden is now looking for a plastics technician who wants to take responsibility for trial runs, improvement work, and efficiency optimization of injection molding processes.

About the role

In the role of Plastics Technician at ITW Sweden, you are responsible for trial running and optimizing both new and existing tools in production. You are involved in the work with new products, where you plan and conduct trial runs, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that production runs stably before handing it over to operations.

A large part of the role involves analyzing and improving existing runs. You work close to the machines to reduce downtime, shorten cycle times, and create the most efficient and safe production possible. The role also includes documenting conducted tests and optimizations, as well as close collaboration with machine setters, tool technicians, and quality functions.

Your profile

To succeed in the role of Plastics Technician at ITW Sweden, we see that you have a good technical understanding and experience working in a production environment, preferably within plastics and injection molding. You are accustomed to working practically with machines and enjoy analyzing, testing, and improving processes to create stable and efficient production.

We believe you have knowledge of material properties, especially within plastics, and an understanding of how different parameters affect cycle times and quality. You are used to documenting your work and see the value in working systematically to follow up on and improve production results.

As a person, you are curious, solution-oriented, and detail-oriented. You thrive in close collaboration with other functions and take responsibility for driving improvements forward. The role may suit you if you currently work as a machine setter and want to take the next step, or if you already have experience in optimization work within the industry.

Requirements for the position:

• Relevant technical education or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of optimization work in industry, preferably within plastics
• Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Merits for the position:

• Previous experience as a machine setter

The company produces injection-molded plastic parts and fasteners, primarily for the automotive industry. Production takes place in an automated environment with injection molding machines and operates in shifts.
